Hi folks - has anyone here ever done any of the Yellowstone Forever Institute's Winter Lodging and Learning programs? Or have any info/insight to share?
I've never been to Yellowstone, but a friend told me about the programs and they sounded like a cool way to celebrate my 50th.
Any input appreciated!
Yellowstone Forever Inst. Winter Programs?
Re: Yellowstone Forever Inst. Winter Programs?
I have taken 8 field seminar classes through the Institute, 6 of them in the winter and have never been disappointed. The instructors are knowledgeable and enthusiastic. You certainly begin to experience the Park in an entirely different way. Staying at the Buffalo Ranch is something you would never forget. Winter has become my favorite season in the Park because of these classes. I encourage you to try it!

Thank you so much, Arted! Of the Winter field seminars, any advice on what to think about when picking? I'm having some trouble deciding which to do

Re: Yellowstone Forever Inst. Winter Programs?
Sorry for the late reply. I'm in the Park right now and connectivity is sketchy. My very favorite class is Wolf Week, I've taken it twice. I am mostly interested in wildlife, I have also taken "Watching Wildlife with a Scientist's Eye" (instructor is terrific), and "The Intelligence of Animals". All are wonderful classes, you will learn so much..,not only from the instructor but also from other attendees. Don't forget to bring warm clothing (they'll send a list) and lots of foot and hand warmers!
