This was my favorite shot of the year, photographed during our whale swimming adventure in Tonga.
I faced all sorts of challenges photographing on this trip, not the least of which was my inexperience shooting underwater, yet it was the fact that I envisioned this type of situation beforehand that helped me pull it off.
