I am saddened to hear this news. I met Dave in 1999, on the side of the mountain overlooking the Lamar Valley, He, John Uhler and I cussed and discussed the politics of Yellowstone. Pretty sure it was June of 2012, north of Dunraven Pass, pretty close to the winter carcass dump site.
