Re: Summer pics
Thanks for posting your pix! They were just what the doctor ordered. It's been a rough 2 years for me. No Yellowstone, no photography, the big NYE flood coupled with health problems. So, I'm more than ready to get back on track and get back to the Park. SEE YA THERE!

Re: Very short early August trip
Thanks for posting your report, Dorothy. I enjoyed every word. August was always one of my most favorite months to visit the Park. Over the years I'V grown very fond of the bison and, IMO, there's no better time to see them than when they're in rut. Sounds like you had a very special trip. Wish I co...

Re: July 10-11 visit
Looks like you really hit the jackpot. Good for you. Bet your son really had a great time with you in the Park. Sadly, I've been out of commission for almost 6 months...what a pain and so depressing, not being able to photograph my favorite wildlife buddies. Pulled my Achilles tendon in January whil...

Re: Day trip snowmobiling to Canyon
Did the wolves show any interest in the trumpeter swans....just curious. Sure was nice of you to give your kids a special day in the Park. We've got family coming next week. The kids are avid mountain bikers. So they're bringing their bikes along and are going to do some exploring.....then they're o...

Re: Mike Enzi op-ed on raising NP entrance fees
Yellowstone is owned, sustained and supported by US tax-paying citizens. So, why does the NPS want to increase the Park's entrance fees for the very people who pay for the Park's maintenance, upkeep and salaries of Park personnel? Makes no sense to me whatsoever! Last year some friends and I boycott...

Re: Wandering Wapitis Head North Nov. 6
What a nice encounter! Glad you were able to take advantage of the sighting! BTW, the Stillwater big horn sheep herd should be in rut just about now, south of Nye. So, if you're interested in seeing some ram head bashing and fighting, let me know and I'll tell you where to go. pj
