As of yesterday (17 June) the peregrines have four fluffy
chicks. Their scrape is easily seen from the second pullout
South of the Calcite Springs Overlook. We we fortunate to see
the parents handing off lunch and feeding the kiddies. Photos later.

Great visit so far! We’ve mostly skipped the bear circuses around Tower-Roosevelt but have still seen lots of black bears. No grizzlies so far. Not sure exactly when they got it cleared but the road is open today.

Sorry, Jim, my error!! I should have said 27 May, not June. Apparently the problem was a mud/rock slide which was cleared rather quickly and the road is open now.
